Protection against what? I tried to think of a few; feel free to comment your own suggestions:

  1. Muggers?
  2. Zombies?
  3. STDs?
  4. Getting laid?
  5. Angry Irish people (see below)?

Protection doesn't seem to be the word you are looking for. Oh and top of the day to ya.

I just got this fortune haha. I think it means protection from getting in trouble, like you can smile your way out of it. Interesting perspective though; hopefully my winsome smile can protect me from muggers!
